Terms of Service

Last updated: · Exparo for Android (com.nhrdev.exparo)

These terms cover your use of Exparo, a local-first text expander for Android built and maintained by Nowshad Hossain Rahat. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Exparo is

Exparo replaces short triggers you define (for example /addr) with full text, code blocks or template variables in any app. Everything runs on your device: there is no account, no server and no sync. Your snippets are yours — create, export and delete them freely.

License

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Exparo on Android devices you own or control, for lawful personal or business use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as permitted by Google Play and applicable law.

Acceptable use

  • Use Exparo only for text you have the right to store and insert.
  • Do not use the typing aid, bubble or keyboard to collect other people's text, bypass security controls, or violate the terms of other apps and services.
  • Banking and payment apps may restrict accessibility tools; use the opt-in Snippet Keyboard there.

Free tier and Pro

  • Free: up to 3 snippets and 1 folder, with expansion, variables, code snippets, the Snippet Keyboard and the floating bubble included.
  • Pro (one-time purchase): unlimited snippets and folders, custom saved variables, the home screen widget, automatic daily backups and all future updates.
  • Pro is sold as a one-time in-app product (exparo_pro) processed entirely by Google Play. Prices are shown in your local currency before you buy, and Google Play's payment, refund and subscription-free terms apply.
  • Pro is tied to the Google account used for purchase and can be restored on any device signed in to that account. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.

Your data stays yours

Exparo stores snippets only on your device and declares no internet permission (see the Privacy Policy). Exports you create are plain files under your control. You are responsible for keeping your own backups; automatic daily backups are a Pro feature stored locally on your device.

Availability and compatibility

Exparo requires Android 7.0 or newer. Expansion behavior can vary by device, keyboard and target app — particularly where manufacturers or banking apps restrict accessibility services. If insertion fails in a specific app, the app offers a manual copy fallback.

No warranty

Exparo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In particular, snippet insertion depends on Android system behavior outside the developer's control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nowshad Hossain Rahat is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use Exparo. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Pro, if any.

Changes to the app or these terms

Features and these terms may be updated over time — for example to support new Android versions or Play policies. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by applicable consumer-protection and contract law in your place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these terms? Email nowshad.hossain.rahat@gmail.com.
